User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsParkway Deli is an institution, if you only go there for the food you are missing 75% of the charm -- the staff is wonderful and many have worked there for years. We have followed their lives as they have followed ours. The customers are loyal too, so seeing friends and making friends there is an added benefit. And, the food is fine, fast and always hot. We love to have breakfast there and again, it a social event to be there on a Sunday.

Parkway Deli is usually crowded so expect to stand
in line for 5-15 minutes.
This is a good place to go for carryout, especially
the white fish salad.
During a recent visit we dined in and found the
Reuben to be outstanding; the grilled chicken
sandwich was also very good. I'm sorry to say that
the chilli was bland, contained mostly ground beef
with few beans; a truly disgusting concoction. -

I was excited to try the Parkway Deli, because I LOVE NY style deli sandwiches (especially corned beef), but I was disappointed with the pastrami and chopped liver sandwich I got. It was so unbelievably greasy! The flavor was great, but the grease took away from my enjoyment. If I go to the Silver Spring area again, I will make another attempt, but I definitely will not make a special trip for this deli.
