Hong Kong Restaurant

Yes, the hostess is very friendly, and if your aim
is to socialize while you're eating lunch, then this
is the place to go. If on the other hand you want a
good Chinese meal while you carry on a conversation
with your lunch partner then this is not the place to
go.

On a recent visit we ordered from the lunch special
section. The "fried rice" which accompanied our
entree should have been called "brown rice"--dry and
mostly tasteless. If they could improve their
fried rice then I might be able to recommend this
place, as it stand now, I cannot.

I have been going to the Hong Kong Restaurant now for almost 8 years. Each time we go we have excellent service and absolutely great food. Frances the owner is almost always there and she knows and remembers her customers. She remembers what we like to eat and at times makes special recommendations. When we come in she is always happy to see us and greets us as if we were some family member she hasn't seen in a while.
Unfortunately her husband recently died and she is not her cheerful usual self. But I know when she has had some time she will be her normal self again. Lets all have some understanding for what she is going through right now. We love her and will always support her. We are already looking forward to our next dinner there.

I just ordered, and I love Frances!!!: Frances is the nicest host. She always teaches how to eat the mushi pork... how to keep it from dripping out the back side... and how much hot sauce to add...
