Woodside Delicatessen

Growing up in MoCo, I knew about Woodside when they were a small place in Germantown. My friends and I used to go during summer break. The food is SO good. I love the Matzoh Ball soup....I always get it. They have a huge menu with many sandwiches and subs. They also have GREAT breakfast (including scrapple and omelettes). The service is very good in my experience, and I come here about twice a month. The prices are average (not too expensive). Believe me, though, the portions are big and the sandwiches are great. I recently promoted this to 5 stars because it's just a local treat that can't be missed.

My experience was awful. Reason being is that the person making the food in the back did not use any gloves. He pulled out his cell phone, wiped his nose and then made someone a sandwich. He then proceeded to eat out of a box of potato chips and then place those same potato chips in the container of a carry out order. When I asked the guy at the cashiers table about it he looked very surprised and much to my surprise he said, "You can always find someone else to eat. You do not have to eat here you know." So I went to Parkway Deli which I am happy to say is much more sanitary. I would never go to Woodside Deli again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
