i love going to this palace! when you want to get away and just have a beer this is the right spot to be. they brew their own beer which is awsome. the real bar is in the basement. their salads are great and so are their chicken fingers and fries.
Our worst brewpub experience ever!: I love brewpubs, but have never had a worse brewpub experience than in this unfriendly local dive. We had an NPR dining card which should have given us our second entree free, but they insisted on applying the discount to a side salad. The waiter was surly, the management indifferent.
There are plenty of great places to eat and drink; don't waste your time where they treat you like you're not wanted.
Overrated: I just got home from this place and I won't be going there again. While the service was good, the food was simply substandard, especially when you consider the price. I ordered the "steak and cake" which is a 10 ounce NY Strip and crab cake. The crab cake was OK, but I've had better steak from chain restaurants like Applebys. My wife had a filet mignon special and it was dry as a bone - I'm really wondering how you can dry out a medium rare filet.
