Best Bike Show's and M/G! They also calendar bike gatherings throughout the summer, so check it out!
All of the bars/clubs that I usually go to are very assuming. They are usually located in the middle of a big city or on some major road. But, that's the allure of Cancun Cantina: it's none of those things. First of all, you can see it from Rt. 176 about a mile away...the sign is huge! That should've been the first hint that this place would rock. I walked in and paid the cover ($6). I went right past the country section (which was actually designed well and was very roomy). When I entered the deck, I noticed a huge open space. Yeah, now I see why it's huge. It got packed around 10:30. The music was awesome...all hip-hop, recent stuff and some old stuff. The crowd was great. There were girls coming around selling those test-tube shots ($2 a pop, not bad). My beers were $4 each, which is also not bad, all things considered. This is truly a great spot...it's just far from my house...I'm thinking 5 stars with more appearances.
We went in twice last month while on vacation - on Ladies night before Halloween 2008 and the next Friday night - it was ok. We're from Texas where the men know how or learn how to CW dance with a lady in his arms. We were very dissapointed in the large number of rude mostly women line dancers and the instructor calling so many line dances in a row and the very few songs we were allowed to dance to without being bumped off the floor, literally. The food was fine, beer was cold, floor was nice and smooth, the bands were pretty good, and the staff were very friendly. Loved the smoke free air!
