Food Lion

This one is better than the others: I used to live near this Food Lion, and I shopped here all the time. With the amount of kids that I have, I do major shopping - it is rare that I leave the store with less than two very full carts - and I ahve never had a problem with the service. The selection is better at this one as well. The one that is 2 minutes from my house, that is in the Oakland Mills VillageCenter, they are horrible. The selection is less, and the attitudes are crazy. I live on the 3rd floor and my children bring the bags up to the apartment, so I need the bags double bagged, and not bagged heavy. They give me attitude about the double bags, and still pack like they are idiots. I will have one bag with 15 pounds of meat, and the handles break, and the next bag will have a bottle of ketchup

Bad Service!: The store had plenty of items I wanted, and they were on sale at very good prices, but this was outweighed by the terrible service.
Walking in, an employee was standing in the doorway, and I couldn't get by him, and he didn't consider moving out of my way, even though he looked right at me.
When I checked out, I asked for an MVP card, and the clerk said, "I ain't got none."
Somewhat taken aback, I asked what that meant. He repeated, "I ain't got none."
So I asked how I could go about obtaining one. He told me to go to the customer service desk.!

So I approach the Customer Service Desk, where I again ask for an MVP card.
The Customer Service agent told me she didn't have any and maybe they would have some tomorrow.
I admit it, I was stupefied. I don't understand how a store can actually run out of something like their own "club cards". And in fact I don't believe they were actually out. I do very much believe they did not feel like being bothered with processing one at that time (10:30PM).
They used a courtesy card to scan so I could still receive the sale prices, but the point being, I still don't have an MVP card.
I'll try a different location next time and see how it goes!
