| About: | This fine Fells Point restaurant serves an eclectic mix of Hunan and Szechuan cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, particularly shrimp, crab and lobster. The dishes at Ding How are imaginatively prepared and flavorful, and there's a general air of sophistication about the place. The dim, almost moody, lighting, combined with the sleek contemporary decor, make the restaurant seem like a movie set. The bar is well stocked and tended, and offers a great variety of Chinese and domestic beers. |

I have been a customer of the Din How restaurant with my wife for many years, and have always been pleased with the service and the quality of the food.I have eaten in many Chinese restaurant in Baltimore and the dong how is by far the best. The dish I love best is called either uncles chicken or beef; It is excellent and one of a kind. My wife in turn loves the soft shell crabs
with vegetables. The soups are outstanding. I all so find the prices to more reasonable then other restaurants of the same quality, We give them five stars.
This is the only Chinese restaurant my family has eaten at in Baltimore for over 8 years. We actually moved 20 minutes further away from the restaurant & still place our take out there. My son has life-threatening food allergies to egg & dairy, and this has been the only place that has not made an error with the orders. Actually, 5 years ago, they did put egg in the fried rice, but we caught it before he ate it. I called them & the manager talked with the chef & verified the fact it contained egg. They were so apologetic & accomodating & never made an error again. When I call, they know me now. The food has varied with consistency now & then...sometimes just OK, with little flavor & sometimes really good. The service has always been very friendly and effecient. The restaurant & restrooms always clean. We are VERY critical, and rarely eat out. We love the Chameleon Cafe for special dinners, Miss Shirleys Cafe for lunch, Sushi Hanna for Japanese food, the Red Canoe for morning coffee & a muffin...and Ding How for "I don't feel like cooking tonight!"
This is the worst chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is bland. I've gotten sick from eating the egg foo young.
