User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI've owned cats for 35 years, and the vets at Carney Animal Hospital are among the best. Compassionate and caring as well as knowledgeable and understanding, I'd go to them in a heartbeat. My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and they made the transition to this new phase of cat care much easier for me. I am also grateful for the woman at the front desk who was most compassionate during a time when I was struggling with managing the process.
I had recently moved to the suburbs from the city and reluctantly had to switch to a vet that is much closer to my house, since driving around the Beltway an hour each way for regular testing with a crying cat was at best unnerving and at worst pretty dangerous. I'm sure the new vet will be just fine, but I will miss the docs at Carney very much.-

My 4 month old kitten broke his leg. It was actually a pretty bad break. The doctor basically said that he would need surgery and we were looking at about $3000 up front from a specialist. We were going through a little bit of a financial struggle and had no idea how we were going to pay for it. Our only other option was to get him put down. Dr. Jendrek said that he would keep him and put a cast on his leg until he was healed. I knew that we didn't have the money for it so I initially said no. Dr. Jendrek worked out a great deal with us and helped us tremendously. He is such a kindhearted doctor. The staff there are unbelievable! They are extremely nice and take the time to listen. They also knew how hard of a time we were having and took up a fund and put money towards the payment on the account. I could never thank them enough for all that they do. If you want to go for the best than choose Carney Animal Hospital!

The staff and Dr. Ed Jendrek are caring and very compasionate. We took our dog for a second opinion, but unfortunately the outcome was the same. Dr. Jendrek was wonderful and really took his time with us. I feel he thought of my dog as his when he examined her. We ended up having to put her down and I can't say enough about how truly wonderful everyone was at the Carney Animal Hospital. At this place you and your pet are not just a number.
