Disgusting Place: I went there today to consider placing my two children in thier care. The place was clearly understaffed. There were about 25 kids per person. The staff looked overworked and a few kids were having meltdowns. But worst of all the place was dirty.
I walked in to get quotes on rates and hours of operation, however the director, Ann Washington, did not have a moment to talk to me. I suggested several times that I could come back at a better time but she insisted I wait. She was filling in for another teacher that stepped out. This took about 10 minutes while I sat there with my 2-year old. When she finally was ready to see me, we went into her office and suddenly my son ran out of the room to follow some other kids. As soon as I turned around to catch him, Mrs. Washington picked up the phone and made a phone call. Then she stayed on the phone while I sat there. I closed her office door to keep my son from running out again and she managed to signal for me to open the door so she can see who walks back and forth in the hall. Then she went back to her phone call. My son of course wandered out again, this time into what had to be the smelliest bathroom I had ever seen. I was totally floored by the condiditon of the childrens restroom.
Back in the office, I found Mrs. Washington getting off the phone when another young woman who worked there walked in her office while I stood there waiting. Mrs. Washington then proceeded to leave the office with this woman and left me in there all alone. With that horrible urine stench still burning my nose I gathered my son and left the premise.
Unhealthy conditions, understaffed crew, and unproffesional service is what you can expect from this particular childcare center.
