I have visited twice for lunch since Piccola Roma re-opened, and it is one of my very favorite Annapolis restaurants. Everything they offer is freshly made, and all their ingedients seem very carefully chosen. As an example, the bruschetta took 15 minutes to make it to our table, but when it arrived it was wonderful. It was obviously freshly made in the kitchen specifically for us from the very best ingredients. I've enjoyed just about every appetizer they offer and several entrees. They have a dish that is crab and artichoke within a pastry puff that is specifically outstanding. We have enjoyed the mussels, prosciutto and mozzarella wraps, penne with smoked salmon (killer), and much more, probably near half their menu, and everything has really been outstanding.
Service is very attentive but not at all intrusive.
There is obvious care in everything they do.
Piccola Roma - worth the trip for consistently good food and service, an opinion based on eating there regularly for the past several years as we live in the area. The owner, Silvana Silvestrini, is attentive to the details of the business. The variety of foods, in the Rome regional style, and their preparation are well beyond average for the area, and the selection of wines, including some very good Italian wines, really compliment the food. Compares favorably to some of the nice and comfortable restaurants we have visited in Rome.
Menu has a wide variety of choices. Those on a budget can enjoy a good dining experience as light eaters are welcome to have an appetizer for their meal rather than an entree. Pasta dishes, also relatively inexpensive, are quite good. Dress is Annapolis casual, tourists are regularly seen there, and we we always leave planning our next visit.
Great food!: I can't remember what I ordered but the food was great! The place appeared a bit small. On the strip of Main Street where parking is scarce. If you get the chance to go, I recommend!
