I bought my 2002 Honda Civic 5 years ago and have not had any problems until this past May. One day on my way home from Baltimore, going 65-70 mph on 97 my engine light came on and the car started feel as if it was going to lock up. The car started shaking and I made it off the exit ramp into Annpolis, where my car finally called it quits. Because I was close to the Honda of Annapolis dealership I decided to go ahead and get it towed there. Over the weekend the car was "fixed" with the explanation "um we don't know, but its running" and I was sent on my way. A couple weeks later I was driving around the circle in Annapolis and.....this time the car did lock up and I took it back to Honda since they were the last to work on it. Mechanic after mechanic could not explain what or why this was happening. Finally after over a week I called and demanded some answers. The mechanic told me it was because I replaced the spark plugs with the wrong ones. I informed him that the spark plugs have never been replaced and if they were the wrong ones then it must have been something that Honda did during the last visit. The mechanic then went ballistic. He started cursing at me, and accused me of lying about the spark plugs. I demanded to speak with who ever is in charge because he would not stop cursing at me. I have NEVER been treated this way!! I immediately called my father and my fiancee who both went the the dealership with me where I demanded to be refunded. I was refunded for the initial work which obviously did not solve the problem and the next mechanic that I took the car to confirmed that they were lying to me about the spark plugs becuase they were the original ones and nothing was wrong with them! My car will be paid off next month and I am not sure whether I will be buying another Honda but I do know that I will NEVER buy from Honda Annapolis and neither will my friends or family!!!!
