User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe Maryland State Treasurer's is who you contact to file a Tort Claim through the State of Maryland. If you damage state property or a state vehicle hits you contact them. The Treasurer's office is often associated with State Income Tax but the it's the Comptroller's office who actually collects your taxes and send your refunds. If you are expecting money from the State it most likely will not come from the Treasurer's office. They print the checks but they don't disburse the checks. You need to contact the agency your expecting money from to find out where your money is, not the Treasurer's office.
