Great Guinness!!!!: Of all the Irish pubs I have frequented this one is by far in my top five. Located in Historic Annapolis, Maryland, Castlebay offers a wonderful atmosphere with live music 5 nights a week. No cover charge either! They have some highly skilled bartenders that know how a Pint should be poured. In fact Castlebay serves the best pint of Guinness in Annapolis. It's consistent and poured with all the care that it should be and in 20oz glasses of course. I'd highly recommend stopping in for a quick drink or a wonderful meal. Located in the shopping area of downtown Annapolis it's a great place to top in for lunch. You will not be disappointed. If you are into micro brews then this in your place. Castlebay is one of two bars in Annapolis that brew their local beer on premises. Be sure to ask Vincent Quinlan, the owner to explain the whole brew process to you. Their beer is called Three Nuns and it is the only Nitrogenized micro brew I have ever had. It's a smooth, medium amber ale. Your server or bartender would be happy to give you a small taster if you are unsure. This is a great little pub and if you are in the area it's a must see!
Great Authentic Irish Pub: great calamari, and the crab dip is incredible! Most authentic irish pub around. The staff makes you feel welcome and a great place to meet local people!
Great local haunt hidden in the historic distict!: the best cream of crab soup and crabcake in town, awesome steamed mussels, fish and chips, banger and mash, corn beef and cabbage, and chicken potpie are among the favorites.
A locals meeting place intermingled with tourists inviting lots of chatter, from local and state politics to a variety of sports.
Traditional irish music session every Tuesday night with specials on burgers a
favorite for the mids.
The only place in town where the proprietor plays with his own band "Murphys law". they always have the place on their feet dancing and drinking the night away.
A treat for all ,be it the atmosphere, the service, the food or the music. I'll probably see you there.
