User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAnnapolis at its best!: A great downtown destination with a wide variety of offerings to tempt every palate! From salads to seafood, soup to steaks, this is a local's favorite. The beautiful interior, with a sky-high ceiling towering over the bar area and a cozy, intimate dining area, looks out onto the historic Market House area at City Dock. Come for a great lunch, happy hour, a wonderful dinner, to watch the game over a frosty beer or late night partying and you will walk away happy everytime. The food is always excellent with decent portions for the price (unlike other downtown establishments!) and the service is prompt, friendly and attentive (but not too attentive!). My husband and I go here all the time when we have a night out and we are never disappointed. I am a salad person and he is a seafood kind of guy and there are lots of delicious choices for both of us. We both grew up in Annapolis and this is where we go! Other downtown restaurants have the dining and bar areas too close together resulting in a lot of smoke and noise when trying to have a nice dinner and conversation. Griffins City Dock has their dining area as far away from the bar as possible and in a separate area to give diners the opportunity to have a relaxing, quiet and enjoyable experience. We recommend it very highly.
