User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWe ate here for our Anniversary without reservations. Although it was crowded, we were given a table within minutes on the patio. We received friendly service. We enjoyed the leisurely atmosphere. If you want to be done eating in 30 minutes, this isn't the place for you. If you want to spend some time savoring the flavors and enjoying the company this is it! The lobster bisque was savory and delicious. My husband had the prime rib which melted in his mouth. I had the lamb and it was tender and flavorful. The mint that went with it was not overbearing. We very much enjoyed ourselves. It is a little more on the expensive side, but I think your tastebuds will find it worth it.

We've been to the Cornish Manor twice, both lunch and dinner. The food is good, but nothing special. Service is a bit slow. The female hostess at dinner was very rude; must be the owner's daughter. She wouldn't be working in my restaurant. Restaurant is located in a very nice old home, but food is pricey for the quality. I've been to other restaurants in Oakland where the food is better, the staff is better and the bill was less.

Disorganized and Bad Service: A reservation for 8 was made weeks in advance and confirmed twice (including day of reservation) only to be told upon arrival by an incredibly rude and patronizing hostess that no such reservation had ever been made and even if we had one we most likely would not have gotten a table (??) . Never was able to talk to owner and our party waited an hour and left hungry. Would not recommend.

This is a serious error, not to honor a reservation, especially one that has been confirmed. This restaurant needs a good dose of humility and I hope continued bad reviews administers it.
