Get the Cream of Crab soup and oyster poboy!!! Great food good service never had a problem go everytime moms up from FLA.
Incredible food service and atmosphere. A restaurant that doesn't try to mask the flavor of the entree. We have been frequent customers to this esablishment and have never been dissapointed. Although, it can get very busy on the weekends and I would make reservations in advance. Since I don't tie myself to one specific entree, I have been fortunate to have experienced a large part of the menu. Annie's serves great steaks. I understand they are aged and cut on premise. Having had the Bone-in Texas Ribeye I nearly fell out of my seat when it arrived. A char-crusted outside and a warm beautiful rare inside that melted in your mouth. My wife had the crabcakes and they were full of Jumbo Lump Crabmeat. Since she is the expert when it comes to seafood she rated them a "10". Annie's sides are simple and included in their meals unlike some of the other major steakhouses. Oberving some of the special addsitions to their menu on given nights has proven to me that the Chef knows what he is doing. I am impressed by the fact that Annie's serves only fresh fish. The menu is extenssive much like some of the old Baltimore Restaurants but I have yet to find anything thay wasn't good. And speaking of good, never, never pass on the salad which is fresh and cold. I have never had a better house salad anywhere. As if I couldn't write more about the estalishment Annie's features pasta dishes to die for. I was speaking to the Chef and he informed me that they would be moving to making all their pasta fresh with some exceptions. Can't wait for that to happen. And since I am rambling on and on about a wonderful restaurant it would be remiss of me not to mention the "FABULOUS PRIME RIB". While visiting friends outside Baltimore we struck up a conversation about restaurants, you know it, he said he wanted to take us to a restaurant on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for dinner. He said you have to have the prime rib. Curious to where he was going to take us he said Annie's. I told him I was a frequent customer and he couldn't say enough about the establishment. Annie's is a large restaurant but it is very very cozy. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always seem to be smiling. I have never had the pleasure of meeting the owners but would love to. Operating an establishment of this size takes some know how. When you get the chance, make Annie's your top choice.
I have mixed feelings about Annie's. We've been going there off and on for many years and it runs hot and cold. As someone else mentioned, we stay away from the "porch" since the light is bright and seating uncomfortable. We eat in the main dining room.
Food is usually pretty good but in the recent past we have been treated to rotten service: sometimes everyone is served except one person, who has to wait - and wait. The last time (and he says it WAS the last time) my son and his wife were there, they waited an hour and half for the entree, with no-one around to ask. Finally, my daughter-in-law was so annoyed she actually got up and went into the kitchen since they could find nobody. The last time four of us ate there, orders were mixed up; e.g., a requested medium-rare steak was so cooked it was hard. Potatoes were cold. GRequested pre-dinner drinks were never brought. Am I harsh? Yes. Am I justified? Yes. It's not an inexpensive place and should perform better.
