While the tourists that come through may be snooty, the place most definitely is not. Great coffee, delicious sandwiches, chill atmosphere...great place to study or catch up with friends. Did I mention the beer selection is always on key, along with the wines. Ask the owner what he recommends if in doubt!

Play it again Sam is a casual and laid-back coffee establishment with great coffee and good food. Staff is attentive and sociable, and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Its a perfect mix between artsy and yuppie, not too high class snooty, and not too uncomfortably underground. People of all ages do enjoy this place. There's posters, murals inside and out, even a game table, and they also sell a variety of wines. I can see no reason not to give it the highest rating. The only matter is size because there's not a huge amount of space, but if you know the size of Chestertown, which is not very big other than for Washington College, normally its not a problem and its just an ode to to the cafe's popularity. Also, as mentioned, there's space outside to sit. And there's benches all over town, not to mention a park a block away. Great little place.
