User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIn the past I used to LOVE Beck's, but lately they've up-ed the prices. The server quality has also gone down TREMENDOUSLY. I really do like going there, (the cream of crab soup, crab cakes, chicken tenders, buffalo wings, and stuffed flounder are the best), but I can't afford to go as much.
Also, everytime I do go, I always ask for soup before the meal, and it always comes with my meal. The service is fast, but they tend to forget things you specifically ask for. I notice that most of the severs dont write anything down, maybe this "technique" should be used.-

Not as good as it has been in the past.: Local place with avg food and drinks. Very smokey. Don't order the steaks.

The reviewer is a bit gruff, and I'd bet money on a non smoker as well. The food in this place is fine,^The pricing is not so bad and the smokiness is strictly by the bar area and a bar is usually noted for that. I don't get the comments on the steaks, as the one's I have had are always nice. The atmosphere is pleasant and if you want to just go for a really"high class" meal and chat it's not not your place as it is loud , especially on Fridays, and the food is good and comparable to any other decent rstuarant. I've eben to several others that call themselves higher classed foods and the y serve some bitty portion of what tyey call gourmet ,mnot enough to fill a rat and the food isn't even that good. at least at Becks you gat a good meal for the money and the service is great!!!
