We were in town for a family gathering and decided to go on one of the Lantern Queen's Fall Foliage cruises. Jazzy music and friendly crew members greeted us and helped us find our table. Since everyone arrived a little early, the Capt. announced that we would be leaving early so we could have a slightly longer cruise. Food was impressive. They served a seasonal menu that just screamed "autumn." Pork Loin with a hint of ginger and something else, stuffed poultry, FRESH vegetables, etc. After our meal we wandered around the upper deck, taking pictures and just enjoying the sunny fall afternoon. We chatted with some of the other people. Several of them were return customers, who assured us that the cruises are ALWAYS wonderful like this. One of the couples said that it's been under new ownership for the last couple of years and that it is much improved over the previous owner's management. They also said that Lantern Queen cruises sell out fast and we were lucky to get tickets. I can believe that. Great fun.

I attended a recent party aboard the Lantern Queen Riverboat. What a great time we had! Can't imagine how this operation could improve. The food was far better than any catered affair I've attended, and better than most fine restaurants. The crew ran a smooth operation, safety and passenger comfort clearly in mind. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good about this bunch.

Oh boy! I remember this one.I was working this cruise. If you look up Bridzilla in the dictionary, her photo is next to it. Here's the REAL story. There was a bit of confusion because the bride changed her mind about the cash bar/tab and one drink was sold before the change was made. The man's money (and tip) were immediately returned, but Bridzilla wanted the bartender fired! Water spots on the bride's face? It RAINED!!! Bridzilla had these HUGE baskets of FAKE flowers that had to be brought inside because of the drizzle. But she left her GUESTS OUTSIDE in the rain. Turns out Bridzilla wanted her photos retouched to remove all the raindrops.
