Living in this area for several years, Tizianos was a familiar restaurant. We tried one time to eat there, but decided it was too expensive and too "dressy" for what we were wearing that day. Recently we tried again, and wished we had stuck to our first impressions. I ordered a veal dish, my husband a`chicken dish. For $2.50 I got one (1) CUP of ice tea. When the bread arrived I buttered a few slices and they collapsed into a pile of crumbs, it was so stale. I was left with butter clumps and dust. The veal was about 1/3 inch thick, tough and gamey tasting, when it should have been thinly sliced. The mushrooms were obviously out of a can, and the noodles (oil and garlic) were luke warm clumps that were disgusting. Imagine my horror when the wait staff asked if we wanted parmesan cheese, and she brings a bowl and SPOONS it out. Probably the industrial size grocery store off label version. I did send the dish back and told the waiter, not his fault, but the food was wretched! in this day and age, with less people eating out, I understand the need to "cut corners", but they sacrificed too much of the quality, hence, it was not edible...
I will NEVER eat here again or recommend this rip-off dump to anyone else. First, I ordered carryout lasagne only to be disappointed when I got home by the very small portion smothered in sauce, accompanied by stale bread. And to top it off, my credit card was charged $5 more than I was billed! I am disputing this with my bank, but I will make it my business NOT to refer people to this place!
As another user commented, don't be fooled by the outside look of the restaurant! My husband and I were very surprised by how roomy, nicely decorated, romantic and classy the restaurant was from the inside. It's a great date place. The wait staff was very smiley, friendly and attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for the food, which was delicious. There are many different menu items to choose from, and while I don't remember the entree I got, the calimari and fried shrimp appetizer was delicious, and so was the tiramisu. We thought it was much more enjoyable than the other local italian restaurants like Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill -- it seemed very authentic.
