User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe love both Drs Staats and Murphy! We've been going to them since my son's birth in 2003 and were living in Fairfax. We've since moved to Vienna and it's much further away but we still go there because both doctors are so patient and caring. We love all the nurses and staff there as well.

Terrible! When my kids went to him they always had ear infections. That was because he used the same ear instrument on EVERY child without changing the disposable tip. After we changed Dr. the ear infections went away.

I ABOSOLUTELY LOOOOOVE THEM! I have been going to Dr. Murphy since before I was even born -- My Mom found him and just knew that he had to my doctor. My brother and I went up until we turned 24! My aunt who has five little girls all go, my sister who has three children all go...Seriously, everyone who goes to his practice once just falls in love. They are seriously the best doctors I've ever had, I'm still trying to find that even half meets my expectations now that I have been spoiled with them. ESPECIALLY great at treating allergies. I've struggled with them all my life but they are the only ones who can actually treat me!
HIGHLY recommend this practice. They are great. Keep in mind, you might have a wait but its worth it!

Were you in the examining room while he looked at EVERY child? I doubt it.
typical of an HMO Dr. where attempting to save money takes priority over your health and well being.
that's ridiculous. If he used one tip on his scope then EVERY child would have the same ear infection problem. My kids are 13, 4 and 2 and not one of them has ever had an ear infection. Something changed in your life at the same time you left the practice. Do you even listen to yourself?
I felt that I need to comment on this review, first off I will say that I interviewed Dr. Murphy in 1985 when I was ready to have my first baby - my children are 23, 21 and 16. Children get infection- not from an instrument-Ear infections are common in infants and children in part because their eustachian tubes become clogged easily. For each ear, a eustachian tube runs from the middle ear to the back of the throat. Its purpose is to drain fluid and bacteria that normally occurs in the middle ear. If the eustachian tube becomes blocked, fluid can build up and become infected. you should be disappointed in yourself for your lies- Dr. Murphy is not an HMO Dr. -he does not work for an HMO he works for himself-his office works with many different insurance plan. This truly shows how ignorant some people our. One of the things that I like the most about his office is the time he takes with your child and how if you need to talk to him that he will call you back as soon as possible. He is truly one of the best doctor I have ever had the honor of meeting. Shame on you-its to bad your new doctor did not explain to you want cause an ear infection.
