User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWe have been going to the OB for the last 10 years. The food selection is a little bit above âbar foodâ. Beer selection is pretty good since the have special (rotating) beer selections on tap as well. Sitting inside is not too much fun, itâs too dark and crowded. That said itâs a blast to sit on the outside âfrontâ patio on a nice day. The back porch has been covered with a tent which offers another alternative for hanging out inside. Service is good and parking is easy.

Smokey bar and missing musician.: Having confirmed by phone that there was live music (last week).We drove for over an hour only to find "No music".The musician just didn't show up or so we were told. Very dissappointed we left . It was very very smokey and could do with some ventilation. Smoking is not permitted in Irish bars in Ireland. We will give it another chance tonight.

Once you try the Brogue , it will be your Cheers: My wife and I have been going to the Brogue for 6 years now about 3 times a month and are rarely disappointed with what we order. When you don't feel like cooking and don't mind spending about $30 for a dinner for two this is a great choice. If you want to spend even less order the hamburger which is probably one of the best in the whole metro area. You definitely will feel like this is "your place" and will start thinking about the old TV series Cheers.

you are not in Ireland you are in the state of Virginia, part of the United States where smoking is allowed in restaurants...and the "no live music" problem is obviously the musicians fault not the restaurants fault, they would not say that they have live music and then not have it...that's false advertisement...your review is not helpful at all for ppl wanting to go to the Old Brogue...
