kymaiya103's review of their experience at the Serbian Crown was 180 degrees different from our experience. We decided to step out of our comfort zone and try something different. Because of their review we almost missed this gem of an experience. The ambiance was romantic; the staff was friendly without being intrusive; the food was presented well and delicious. We were senaraded with wonderful live music that anxiously took our requests. Granted price-wise it isn't the cheapest game in town, but we weren't looking for McDonald's. The only disappointment was that there weren't many people in the restaurant. Hopefully my review will inspire people to get out on their special occassions so those nice dining eateries no longer exist when the economy picks up again.
One of our favorite restuarants in the Great Falls area for over ten years. Yes, its a little kitschy with the red velvet walls, but it comes by it honestly. The vodkas come out ice cold in every flavor you could want. The food options are wonderfully varied from gouglash to green peppercorn emu steak. The Ceasar salad is well made and the service is alway excellent. The wondering mandolin and violin players add to the romantic atmosphere.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had. The food was horrible! I went with a group of six and none of us enjoyed our meal. The appetizer platter seemed like a store bought lunch meat, the lobster was chewy and tasted like it was just thawed frm the freezer, my filet mignon had zero flavor and was tough and most of our food came out cold.
Our server was patonizing and acted as if we had never eaten at a nice restaurant when this is far form the case. He tried to upsell us at every opportunity possible, claiming "you guys are at a nice place... you don't get this kind of service anywhere."
Our group ended up spending over $300 total and none of us enjoyed our experience. On top of that, the server overcharged my credit card by $100 after I left!
This place tries to by an upscale restaurant by overcharging on the food, but fails to deliver in taste, service, or atmostphere. Save your money, its not worth the price!
