I've been going to Hunter Mill Animal Hospital for the past 20 years with every pet that I've had since that time. I logged onto these reviews the other day on happenstance and was SHOCKED to see ANY negative reviews. How absurd. This place is the best animal hospital I've ever been to and I've had alot of experience with animals and vets in this area. I've never had better treatment for me, my pets and my family from anyone else. I've had everything from routine puppy shots to serious surgeries and even had to put a pet to sleep a couple of years ago. The compassion, knowledge, experience and caring of every person I come into contact with at Hunter Mill is UNMATCHED. I'm seriously angered by these negative reviews. I cannot imagine anyone saying anything negative about Hunter Mill. Anyway, obviously I'm a fan, but I'm not clueless. I've had an issue or two over the years and they've always been handled with the utmost of respect and to my complete satisfaction. Nothing is ever completely smooth with any kind of service business and in my opinion, it's how it's handled that shows the true colors of an establishment. Hunter Mill is Platinum!!!

We went for the dog's health recently and the dog was treated like an aggressive pariah. We were consulted with at the lobby for 5 minutes and charged for the visit and we were sent off. The dog is about 18 pounds and has been there numerous times before-- but never a "lobby" visit. The dog is a sweet sociable thing. Just that one doctor who felt she knew she was going to be "attacked". Now the dog has a reputation that precedes it. Poor dog! THAT is what I call discrimination! No other dog was consulted at the lobby as far as I could discern. A rescue dog 10 years ago- - and now this. LIFE IS UNFAIR.
