Champion Billiards is the most awesome bar in DC. Great staff and service. Great bands and always good food and ice cold beer. What more can you ask for...oh I forgot about the pool tables. The best tables in DC. Darts, poker, pool, lots of women and fun. What more can you ask for of your favorite pub?? Go and check them out for their happy hour specials and LIVE BANDS that ROCK on the weekends.
All the people that are bad nouthing this establishment are the disgruntled people that the owner actually threw out. The staff is all new along with new patrons. The old crowd is gone and its nice to see friendly people for a change. Don't be disgruntled because you liked the old Champions and the new owners didn't cater to you and the way it use to be run. The live bands on the weekends are awesome with no cover and the paint job and new tv's make it an awesome place to watch any sporting event. Keep up the good work and good riddance to the disgruntled few that don't like the change.
Worst night ever. I thought i was going to enjoy a nice night away from the house watching football and rooting for my hometown team the Giants when i made the mistake of picking Champions. the whole atmosphere was terrible! the staff seemed very ill at ease. during the course of the night, a man actually punched another man because of the game ,i think it was because he was rooting for us Giants and we were losing, and nothing happend to the guy! i asked the person at the barstool next to me why they didn't kick him out and she said that the man was the owner! i immedietly understood why my bartender and the girls working seemed uncomfortable.I've always known Champions to be a rough place, after all, people have been murdered inside of it during buisness hours, but i always assumed they TRIED to keep it a safe place and failed because of location.
obviously not.

Regina, it sounds like they're paying you. I heard about the incident below while at another pool hall (you know how they are around here) from someone else that witnessed it. I don't go there anymore, though that is unrelated to the new owners. it's unfair to accuse this man of being a disgruntled banned customer only because he witnessed an event and wrote a review about it. As far as i know, this actually happened. you must be very invested in this business to be inclined to write a review based on a review.
