Wonderful food!!! Just like we get in Louisiana. The crawfish & crab bingets are a must have! And the creme brule is terrific! A bit pricey, but the best food I have had in DC since we moved here 2 years ago. Go relax and enjoy yourself!

I just took my boyfriend here for a cajun treat, since Copeland's is closed. The fried crawfish and shrimp appetizer and she crab soup were just wonderful. The shellfish etoufee was very good, and the andouille gumbo had enough heat on it to create a fine sheen on my date's forehead. There was a smoking section that did not bother this non-smoker. This place has a Zagat's rating, and proudly displays Washingtonian awards dating from 1984 to 2005, another reason for sticking around for more menu selections. All in all, it was a great meal, good prices and I would go back again.

I read a lot of good reviews about this place on other travel sites and decided to take my fiance there for valentine's day. Things didn't look good from the start. We got lousy seats by the entranceway, it took 15 minutes before someone came to wait on us, and the complimentary bread was completely dry and tasteless. I kept telling myself that we were here for the food - lots of people were raving that this was the best cajun place in dc. The "smothered" catfish was too thick and overly spiced, and the shrimp norman was like something like seafood curry. Not only that but I've been sick since eating there for the past few days. Perhaps it was a busy valentine's day and they had an off day - but then again, perhaps they're really just below average.
