User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was with a large group (15 people) having a reunion in the DC area and we recently had dinner at Sushi Zen. It was a wonderful meal and I was impressed with the wide selection of menu choices. My husband and I ordered the tempura combo and had the most delicious shrimp/veggie tempura and salmon teriyaki. I couldn't believe how big the portion sizes were for the reasonable cost of the meal. The house Sushi Zen salad dressing is delicious (they should sell it to go) with the miso soup. There are so many choices and we shared orders to get a taste. I was told the sushi is delicous---generous portion of fish. We had fun trying the different flavors of Japanese ice creams ( I really liked the red bean ice cream) and the plum wine. This is a family owned business and they were very accomadating for a large group. Parking is good, and they have carry out plus catering. Go to Sushi Zen if you are looking for a charming Japanese restaurant with great food for a reasonable cost.

Don't go home hungry from here!!: If you are tired of going to eat Sushi and coming home hungry and broke, you need to check out Sushi-Zen. Not only is the value amazing the food is great! The restaurant is family friendly so the dining areas wears some battle scars, but you won't notice any of that once you get your food. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the DC area.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Best Sushi in DC: Sushi Zen is by far the best sushi in the DC area. The fish is fresh, the portions sizable, and the staff attentive. If you have been disenchanted with other restaurants in the area, I urge you to visit.
