My experiences with Capital Laser have been amazing! Iâm an attorney in the Arlington area, and I carefully researched my options before choosing Capital Laser. Sue is excellent at what she does, she truly enjoys it, and I would encourage every woman (or man!) interested in laser hair removal to give her a call. I am not exaggerating when I say the treatments Iâve received were worth every penny â especially because theyâre permanent!
I was lucky to be a good candidate for the laser treatment â Iâm of South American background and I have dark hair and light olive-colored skin. My entire adult life Iâve battled with the best way to remove the hair around my bikini area. Shaving was out of the question â it never failed to leave my skin riddled with embarrassing ingrown hairs and red bumps. Waxing was not only painful and expensive, but the results would only last a couple of days for me. Creams like Nair helped a little bit, but again the results only lasted a couple of days. Worst of all was just the embarrassment I felt at having such irritated skin.
I went to see Sue at Capital Laser last year. My consultation with her put me completely at ease. She was professional, straight-forward, and I never felt pressured. Sue not only carefully explained to me what I could expect, but also took the time to explain the "science" of the procedure to me as well. I scheduled an appointment, and within one treatment I saw dramatic results. For weeks afterwards my skin was smooth, hairless, and for the first time, it wasnât red or irritated. I couldnât wait to go back for my second treatment, and I did so as soon as I could afford it. Iâve since purchased the package for my bikini and underarms, and my next indulgence will be getting my legs done. Capital Laserâs prices are very competitive â and Sue has made it clear she wants me to feel that Iâm getting my moneyâs worth. No problem there!
Iâve actually never written an online review like this â but the reviews posted here helped me make my decision last year to go to Capital Laser. I hope mine will do the same for someone else! Life is too short to be self-conscience.
Sue came highly recommended to me and it was a big decision for me to choose her as I live and work in Richmond, VA and opted to travel for her laser services. I have had three sessions so far on my bikini line and underarms. After only two sessions, I noticed a significant difference in the hair growth and I am so happy that I am doing the laser. On the third visit, Sue purchased a new laser and the experience was ten times better than the first two. There was almost no pain at all and there was not any swelling after the fact. If you are considering laser, I would highly recommend going here and not postponing the treatment. The sooner you have it, the less you have to shave!!!!! (I spent many years shaving and waxing and I am considering having my legs done next). It is definitely one of the best investments I have ever made.
I had a great experience with capital laser. The treatment for my unibrow took all of two minutes per session and now I don't have to worry about shaving it unevenly. As a guy with dark hair and pale skin I was worried that the laser would hurt, but Sue made sure to find the right level of intensity for the laser.
Capital laser offers great prices on packages; the staff is friendly and professional. I've treated several areas, and I've had excellent results. I have recommended several of my friends, and they all had great experiences, as well. Definitely worth trying, especially if you are tired of waxing and shaving.
I'm an African American female, and have had 4 treatments on my underarms and bikini line. I have only had a few strays grow back in both areas. I go back for a final treatment, and am sure that I will be pleased with the final result. Sue is very professional, and doesn't give you false expectations. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Capital Laser has been a great experience so far. I have really liked the results, and plan on doing more. The staff is friendly and helpful, and made me feel very relaxed. It is a bit painful, but the results are worth it!
I went to Capital Laser in January. It was very easy to schedule my first consultation and my questions were answered. The staff and Sue were all very professional. I just had my second treatment yesterday. Sue is very kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. Very easy scheduling, excellent customer service, and friendly staff. They made me feel comfortable while treatment. I would recommend Capital Laser.
I just finished my 4th and final treatment of my back from Capital Laser. I am not sure what is up with John S., but I have had a fantastic experience with this business. I did a lot of Internet research before I got a consultation. I really liked the way that they interviewed me, and took time to evaluate me as a candidate. I didn't want to waste my money on something that 'might not work'. The staff explained how the laser works, and didn't push me into making a quick decision.
Another thing I wanted to put in this review, --they just got this new laser...and it's incredible. To be honest, I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to pain. I have a VERY hairy back, so I expected the laser to be set at a higher power than most people. The new laser they got in February 2009 is much more powerful. And I had much fewer 'pink spots' the next day. I think that Laser technology has finally reached a new standard where you can get a very effective treatment without a lot of discomfort. I didn't even need the numbing cream...amazing! I strongly recommend this business to people who want the value of the latest technology at a reasonable cost.
Be careful of all the 5 star ratings! **I felt something was wrong when the first few minutes of the consultation was focused on what medium (advertising/website) I used to find Capital Laser**
Here is my experience:
1. I had a consultation and treatment scheduled on the same day and upon my arrival I was told by the Technician that she didnât have time to provide me with the treatment. However, 4 hrs before when I called Capital Laser the receptionist told me I was scheduled for both consultation and treatment. During the call I asked the receptionist about payment options since my package was between $3,000 - $4,000 and she said that they did have a payment plan, however when I arrived to have my consultation and I asked the same person I spoke with on the phone earlier about the payment options she rudely claimed that she didnât tell me over the phone that they had payment plans, and she began to raise her voice, not professional at all.
2. During my consultation, the Technician asked many questions about how I learned about Capital Laser and I felt that she was overly concerned with what website or search engine I used to find Capital Laser instead of focusing on my interests and needs as a client. The Technician complained numerous times that I had asked too many questions about the services and price and she attributed my questions to being a foreigner. I felt that she was suggesting foreigners are more cost conscious and because we do research we may ultimately be more picky/critical of the quality of the service received. I donât like to gossip and backbite, but I have never in the Washington DC area dealt with a business that made such politically incorrect and unprofessional remarks to me.
3. Finally I had a test procedure performed on my arm, and was told to call on Monday morning to schedule an appointment. When I called I was told by the person on the phone that âYou are not a good customer for Capital Laser because you asked too many questionsâ I explained to the person on the phone that I was surprised to hear that since the Technician and I had agreed to schedule a time that week. The person on the phone insisted that they did not want to serve me. This was very insulting to me and I felt discriminated against. If a business generally serves customers that it determines to be less critical and questioning then it will probably not receive many negative reviews. I can not speak to the quality of the laser treatments but I can tell you first hand that the staff were very unprofessional and insulting to me. IN MY OPINION THE 5 STAR RATINGS ARE NOT THE BEST REFLECTION OF THE QUALITY OF THIS PLACE.

Capital Laser has been serving clients from the same location since 2001 and most of our clients are repeat, referral based and very loyal. We take pride in being a diverse organization and embrace all cultures. As a reflection of our service and the great results we provide, we have received numerous outstanding reviews from clients who are happy with our service.
We are sorry this poster felt the way he did. The reason Capital Laser declined to perform the procedure on him had nothing to do with his national origin. Capital Laser does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, culture, sexual preference, or national origin. Capital Laser's chief consultant and manager is herself originally from another country and respects and admires Americans and non-Americans alike.
The reason Capital Laser declined to perform the procedure on this poster is that (i) he appeared unannounced and without an appointment and (ii) he made the staff uncomfortable with the type of questions he was asking -- many of which were personal in nature not about laser hair removal.
Nonetheless, this poster is entitled to his opinion. We will agree to disagree with him.

Integrity and honesty are important characteristics of a business. I attest to all readers of this message that the claim by Capital Laser that I asked personal questions is not true.
I welcome Capital Laser to share with me and the general public the personal questions they claim I asked that caused them to feel uncomfortable. I donât have any quarrels with Capital Laser but I am not going to allow my legitimate queries to be misrepresented.
I am very disappointed by the way they treated me and I am disgusted that they attempted to intimidate me from voicing my completely accurate and honest opinions on-line concerning what I believe was bad service. I completely agree with Capital Laser that we will have to âagree to disagreeâ. However, that also does not mean that my right to give an account of a less than satisfactory experience can be silenced.
