The Club owns a little strip of land on Neptune Drive, perhaps a quarter mile from its main facilities. During the entire summer of 2007, it used this strip of land -- literally -- as a dump: Broken limbs, lawn (rather, wild field) never cut, and then, to top it all off, it dumped boatloads of cut hydrilla on the land.
Now, the Yact Club is not nextdoor to the land it uses as a dump, but many homes in the neighborhood are. I protested in June, but telephone to the club, and nothing happened. Mr. Lopez, our neighbor, and others protested too, so finally -- last week -- the club cleaned up its dump! Hurray! Eugene Vinogradoff
