I do not agree with the two reviews regarding the service. I am coming from Europe and have dined here twice since, both times being very enjoyable. The food is of high quality, the wine list is impressive, and the atmosphere is romantic. The Maître d' was very personable and I can only imagine that the reason he would ask anyone to leave is because they showed up with tank-tops and shorts on. This is one of my favorite restaraunts in the area and would recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxed dining experience. Do not expect a fast in and out... but why would you want that?
I went to La Bergerie for my birthday recently and the service was excellent. I have started out with the mussels and the flavor of this dish is very delicious. They have a prefix menu for lunch which I find very reasonable, especially for a fancy French restaurant. For the main course, I recommend the Chilean Sea Bass which was very tasteful. The sides comes with perfect mash potatoes and steamed asparagus (might I add it was perfectly cooked). And for dessert, I have the Chocolate Soufflés and the Chocolate Mousse (yes, I have a sweet tooth and a big appetite). If you're looking for a place to wine and dine I recommend this place. Thank you
One of the worst French Restaurants in the area. Service was quite bad we had to wait forever to get a wine list and then order our food. The waiter was arrogant and with a demeaning attitude. The food was over-rated and over-priced. We were 7 at the table and all of us complained about the food. The souffle was HORRIBLE!!! It was shocking to see how bad it tasted, we had to add the cream on the side to make it bearable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.. Be ware!!!
