Not worth your time or money: I've been an avid user of Mr. Wash on Glebe road for my "go to" full service car wash. I just happened to notice David's Car Wash as I was driving down Four Mile Run. Given it's proximity to my home, I decided to give it a go.
I went on a Saturday afternoon, generally a busy time for any car wash. I pulled up to the entrance and was third in line to go through the wash. I thought I would be in and out, I was wrong. I paid the $21 for the ultimate wash. I popped the trunk, opened all the doors, took my ticket, and made my way inside to pay and await my clean car on the other side.
The place is in chaos. As your car leaves the wash bay, it enters a line of vehicles in complete disorder. There's a guy doing windows, someone wiping dash boards, one dressing tires, and the entire time these men are bouncing around like the harderst workers you've ever seen! Turns out they have mastered the art of looking busy and getting nothing done. I stood there and watched this for nearly 40 minutes. My car moved four times to keep the line moving and in the end the car didn't look much different than when it went in. I had to ask for the tires to be armoralled at the end and nothing was touched inside. The trunk that I had oppened was simply closed with not a glimpse of a vaccum, the inside of the car still had the same crumbs and leaves that it had when I took it in.
On the flip side, they appear to have a very large detailing shop, so if you're looking for that and can simply drop your car off for the day, that might work out well for you.
For the money and time, you would be better off doing it yourself, or heading up to Mr. Wash to get it done right and for less money and time.
