Nam Viet the Best in No. VA: I have been coming to this restaurant since it started as My An. This is a family run restaurant. Everything is fresh that day and incredible. From the beginning with the crispy rolls (which I think are the best I have ever had) to the garden rolls. The soups are addicting, the vietnamese won ton, to the Saigon Soup or the Hanoi Soup the broth has a great taste, very subtle but extremely full of flavor. They have a crispy squid appetizer that is to die for. All of the various skewer dishes with the funny noodles have great taste sometimes you get them in other restaurants and you cannot tell what the meat is, not here each bite melts in your mouth.
Mrs Van Thoi runs the kitchen and until his death last year Mr. Van Thoi ran the restaurant. All of the kids work there this is truly a family run restaurant.
I can honestly say in I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and I have never had a bad meal here. Do yourself a favor and come and really get a taste of real taste of Vietnamese food.

I've never had Vietnamese food before, but I will surely go back a second time after my visit to Nam-Viet. I loved our waiter and the food was served promptly. It's a very casual atmosphere, off a side street in Clarendon. I can't say enough great things about the food and the service.
