| About: | The barren strip mall that houses this eatery belies the savory cooking that lies within. Village Bistro is unique in that it lists 10 to 15 specials in addition to its regular menu fare. Service can be a bit slow, but the Steamed Mussels in a Garlic Wine Sauce, Grilled Calamari and fresh fish dishes are well worth the wait. Pasta selections are varied and are consistently good. The walk from the Rosslyn Metro stop should take no longer than 10 minutes. |

I am raving to everyone I know about this palce. It is like a gourmet bistro out of Paris. faux finish textured walls, high ceiling, regular tables and chairs, but the food is amazing. There is little bit of everything in their menu. Gourmet appetizers, pasta, veal, chicken, seafood , fish and more. There is always something you like in the menu. I tried the veal saltimboca entree and the escargots appetizer and they were just perfect. The house wines are good, I tried both a white and a red. They have a great selection of wines, beer and also a full bar. I am glad I found a place where I would take my kids, my friends and my associates and be sure that they are all going to love it. Great place, Great food. You should check it out..
Never dissappoints: I love this place. It never dissappoints. But it's not Italian. It's more of a French/Italian fusion. Entrees are around $20 and well worth it. The Escargot appitizer is incredible. It's not like traditional escargot, where they are in shells and in a garlic butter. The escargots are chopped and mixed in with a medley of mushrooms that are also chopped and it is all in brown butter sauce that is so delicious it would even make cake taste good.
