| About: | Perhaps Tiffany Tavern's most noteworthy distinction from other live music venues is that it is one of the last places in the Washington DC area that has live bluegrass every weekend. The atmosphere is unpretentious and the staff is so courteous and friendly you might think you're in a small town southern restaurant. Burger connoisseurs can put the bar's claim of "some of the best burgers in DC" to the test. There is no cover charge to get in. That, along with Tiffany Tavern's reasonably priced menu, makes it a good option for an inexpensive night out in Old Town Alexandria. |

I love Tiffany Tavern. The only reason it doesn't get 5 starts is that in order to get a good seat you have to get there extra early, otherwise you have to watch the Bluegrass from the back. The Bleu Cheese burger is exceptional.
Had an awesome burger a while back with my girlfriend prior to heading down the street to Murphy's to drink. I remember my burger was a good size for the price and mine had a slice of swiss cheese and Canadian bacon on it. However, I would have loved to have sat in the front portion of the restaurant, either at a table or the bar but they were full. We had to sit in the back room where it was elbow to elbow and thats the only place there were young children. They were having the open-mic bluegrass that night and there was a threesome playing banjos which was interesting. I would eat there again.
