    OK - so maybe the food is not awful, after all it is EXACTLY the same as every other Bertuccis in the known universe. There is so much better stuff in this town! There are over 100 unique restaurants within a 1/2 mile of this location. Most are tried and true or else they would not survive the intense competition of this corridor. Old Town Alexandria is one of the most unique little towns in America. If you want to keep it that way, give any one of them a try!

    Not a bad place along King St......: Wasn't familiar with the area, but wanted something in the Old Town section of Alexandria. I had the pizza and so did a friend. It was great and quite filling. Another friend had some dessert which was quite tasty. Food and drinks were priced right for the quality and proportions. It did, however, seem slightly commercial or corporate. I still think it's worth the trip. If not, then walk around the area and you'll be fine. Park a couple of blocks away for free. Enjoy and have fun!

    Don't miss the spinach/carmelized onion calzon: This place is wonderful - always good service. My son loves getting the ball of pizza dough to play with while waiting. He's a picky eater, but he always likes what he gets at Bertucci's. And, really, don't miss that calzone. We usually go to the Springfield location.
