As far as I could tell, I got a very good deal on the car I bought in January, 2005. The salesman was the best I have ever dealt with and even though the car has not been very reliable, I still like it very much. However, it has been an extremely disappointing experience every time I have had the car in for service or repair. Here are a few examples: I had the oil changed and after driving a few miles most of the oil drained out because the filter was not installed correctly. I had the oil changed again at another time, but the wrong oil was used and I had to have it changed again immediately. On yet another occasion, I had the oil changed and the car was returned to me with the front tire almost completely deflated, prompting the lot attendant to declare that I should go get some air in the tire before leaving. Once, I waited over three hours for only an oil change. I had service performed at yet another time and after driving away received a call asking me to return because I was charged too little. I was quoted a price of $1400 for a new clutch and then was charged $2000. Just recently, I brought my car in for an estimate because the engine was apparently ready to expire at only 93,000 miles. Several of the people in the service office that I assume might be employees laughed openly at the notion that I might have to replace the engine. I have treated the car extremely well, but even using Mobil One oil didn't prevent an engine failure and now the service department wants $7,600 to replace it. I still have to make payments for a year and a half on the loan to buy the car. Unless I can get some reasonable service deal today, I will never return to Radley Chevrolet.
