Avoid the national chain pizza restaurants in the Alexandria area (Pizza Hut, Papa Johns etc.).-

Frankly I am stunned that this isn't at least in the top 5. I mean obviously somethings wrong when pizza chains are topping fresh brick oven pizza! I was born and raised in this area and have eaten at just about every pizza place around. NOTHING tops this pizza. If you're a fan of brick oven crunchy pizza, look no further than Faccia Luna.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. Everyone from the maitre'd, to the waitress gave little to no eye contact and not very welcoming. Despite the great food, I have never returned there to dine.

i didn't receive a crunchy crust pizza, but it was still good nonetheless. better than chains of course, but not as good as the pizzas in Italy!
