    The food here is good, but I did not have a good experience with the manager or owner. The last time we ate there (with our small children) the manager was very verbally abusive to a customer. I have no idea the circumstances, but it was handled very poorly. I will not return due to the language the person "in charge" used in front of everyone in the place!

    I can't wait to go back. We go to Sal's anytime we're "in the neighborhood" -- and we live two hours away. This place has the best Italian food around -- and we've eaten Italian in Philly, New York City, Baltimore, Providence -- but not Italy yet. And Sal's tops them all. Consistently wonderful. Get whatever Sal has on for the special. You will be pleased. Have eaten here at least 20 times over the last 4 years. What a gem.

    Great Food: Sal's offers the best Italian food that I've had since moving from New York. My favorites are the calamari, sauteed with garlic and peppers, and the Napoli pasta. My least favorite dish was a risotto that was made with long grain rice instead of arborio rice. One disappointing meal out of 50 isn't bad at all.
    The service is excellent.
