The structure of the program teaches students organization and time management, and it also encourages social interaction among peers and between the students and adults. A boarding and day school of about 330 students, R-MA is the only Virginia military school offering Air Force JROTC. In fact, R-MA is the oldest co-ed day and boarding school with Air Force JROTC, which encompasses students in grades 9-12. A separate middle school campus provides structure for students in grades 6-8, without the demands of a military program. Our focus is on college-prep. 100% of our students are accepted to college, and our graduating classes average over $6.6 million in college scholarships each year. R-MA has been named the Top Private School in Front Royal/Warren County by Northern Virginia Daily, a Top High School by Virginia Living, Best Private School and Best Overnight Camp for Families by Washington Family Magazine, and the number one military school in Virginia by Niche.
