   MoreFormerly known as the Gengras Planetarium, the Travelers Science Dome Planetarium is an integral part of the Children’s Museum in West Hartford. The planetarium is popular with children and adults alike, who throng the venue to learn and observe more about the sky and the universe around them. The planetarium has a 40 foot (12 meter) dome and is equipped with a Spitz Sci Dome HB full dome system. The daily shows consist of an astronomy movie, the most popular being ‘Xtreme Weather’ and ‘From the Blue Planet to the Red Planet’. Later visitors can enjoy the sky tours and other astronomy programs. On special request the planetarium is available for organizing events and parties.
