    The sushi at Flaming Wok is the best in town -- always the freshest fish and the loveliest presentation, and they have no problem with custom or off-the-menu orders. The sushi chefs are friendly and accommodating. My father and I have been coming here for 13 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. I now live 100+ miles away from Charlottesville and I still return as often as I can for the sushi at Flamong Wok!

    Terrible! I took my kids for the Teppan Yaki (cooking at your table) and the food was mediocre at best. My kids wouldn't eat the steak because it was "mooshy" - translation: lots of fat in the meat. The owner/host walked around like he couldn't figure out what to do next. The chairs at the Teppan Yaki tables were so low that I needed a booster seat - the boosters my kids had brought the table down to the neck (and they're 6 and 3 years old). There's no way I would go there again. The prices didn't reflect the quality either. I should have spent the extra 10 minutes driving on 29 North up to Sakura - same prices, but 100 times better in all respects.
