    Vivace Restaurant is just delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, by far the best waitstaff we have encountered in Charlottesville. We had dessert in the lounge area and loved meeting the owners who were so nice . We will be back and tell all our friends.

    The service is reasonable, as is the atmosphere. However, my experience from many visits is that the food is of mixed quality. The appetizers and salads on my most recent visit were divine. The entrees, in contrast, tend toward overcooked and the tomato sauces are far too sweet. The tiramisu, though not *true* tiramisu, is quite yummy.

    In short, if you're looking for fine Italian dining, consider Carmello's (Charlottesville) or D'Ambola's Restaurant (Afton). Vivace is fine if you're looking for something cheaper.

    Very nice experience, would recommed this restuarant highly. I am a stickler for good service, even halfway decient service, and VIVACE comes through. Nice atmosphere, private dining, good wines if you like Italian wine, Some Virginia wine.
