User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWe recently visited Charlottesville, VA. and had dinner at the C&O. Our meal was everything I expected and more.
The dining room upstairs is bright and cozy. Our appetizers were woderful only to be followed by a wonderful main course. I had the veal cheeks and my husband the rabbit sausages.
The services was nearly perfect. You will not be disappointed.-

Very, very disappointing. I took my wife to C&O for our anniversary on a Monday night. We were seated in a small, oddly-arranged room at a small table about 2 feet from another couple; when we left, several chairs blocked our exit. Food was adequate but nothing special â and it was over-priced. One of our bread plates had a small, still-alive bug on it. Service was spotty. Restroom was down a narrow flight of stairs and very, very dirty (it was under the stairs and about the size of a janitorâs closet, with toilet paper and cleaning supplies on display). Dinner for two -- including two glasses of wine and dessert -- was about $100 (not including tip).
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSuperb presentation and taste!: Delicious offerings in a small restaurant. Great for just a couple to go out for a special night. Seating can be tight. A bit pricey!!!!!!
