Excellent Food: I was at the new Rose tonight and found the food to be exceptionally good and did not have any problems with the wait staff. The new menu is a welcome change ... with more selections than the old Rose. Give it a try and judge for yourself!

Do we even exist to them?: Tokyo Rose USED to be my favorite restaurant in Charlottesville and trust me there are a lot of awesome restaurants here! After tonight - I will never return to Tokyo Rose again. The new owners obviously ruined the place! They used to bring you water and the most delicious soybeans as soon as you sat down. Tonight, we waited 15 minutes before anyone noticed us - and the soybeans now cost $5. The menu has changed drastically with most of th prices going up quite a bit. We ordered appetizers and after we had finished them, the waitress cleared our plates. She then left and waited for her to return and take the rest of our order. And we waited. And we waited. And we waited - probably 30 minutes. Finally, I grabbed another waitress and asked her to please take our entree orders. The sushi was delicious as usual but when our yaki soba (used to be my favorite) came it was absolutely terrible! We saw at least three other groups/couples complain, including one very angry fellow that marched into the kitchen to complain. Tokyo Rose - I am so disapointed. It is the end of an era... the new owners have ruined the place! DO NOT GO TO TOKYO ROSE!
