My first trip to Charlottesville and not a good first impression.
I would be ashamed to serve food that bad. The outside of the restairant reminded me of the small restaurants in Little Italy in NYC, so of course I wanted to go in! They are missing a great opportunity. My salad was okay...greens w/ one cherry tomato, a couple of slices of cuccumber and an onion. I ordered "wild mushroom ravolli w/ tomato sauce" that was practically inedible. The tomato sauce had to have been straight from a can. What a huge disappointment...and a blemish for downtown Cahrlottesville.

Great Food: Went here for dinner again last week. It's a small place and looks like nothing special from the outside buy once inside it transforms into an authentic, quaint and romantic experience. The exposed brick oven hearth and brick interior glows against your checkered tablecloth.
The quantity is great for the price and they have a nice wine selection. Fra Diavlo style sauce was the only thing that was missing from their menu. I would suggest the mussels linguini in clam sauce and a glass of their house chianti. Nice Downtown Mall Eating!
