Hot, plentiful, basic: The food is basic southern diner faire, gussied up a bit with some seafood & Italian dishes. The place is clean, the food in conscienciously served and it gets to the table hot. It's a great place to buy a meal for a table of National Guard soldiers from the local armory. The prices are reasonable. You also cannot swing a cat inside without hitting someone you know.

Not sure I agree with the former reviewer, as a kitchen fire some years hence, does not seem worthy of comment. Even so, if a fire occurs again, I am fully capable of picking up my plate and walking out one of the plentiful, well marked exits to watch the show from the safety of my car.

Good food, bad prices.: T&G do have a nice amount of food in rather large quanties. Althought the pricing can be staggering, and the ocean/lake theme is rather dried out, as it has been the same for many many years. I am still not sure how they manage to stay open when they close for about a month and a half in the summer time. Its always a bit uncomfortable for me to go in there, the staff can be nice, but some are a litle uninviting. I am still not all to comfortorable wiht the fact that some amount of years back there was a kitchen fire. But, even though thats alot of cons, I would recommend it for a once and while treat for yourself. Maybe a binge if you get that new job at the office.
