Olivia's in the Village

We just bought a house in Gloucester and our realtor Joe was kind enough to both treat us to lunch as well as give us a gift certificate to Olivia's in the Village.
Wow, both the lunch we had and the dinner were superb. We had salads and soups for lunch, every meal was great.
It was so good we were all excited about going back for dinner. And we were even happier on our 2nd visit, the wine list was very reasonable, the steak and sauce I had were tender and well seasoned, my wife had a fish dish and was in love. Again the salads were crisp and nicely flavored, the food was superb!!!
and to cap it off, the owner circulates amongst the diners to see how things are and the service staff can't do enough for you. Very pleasant and they seem to enjoy their work. I will say this, we are from Northern Calif, we travel all over the West and East Coast, Olivia's served us as fine a meal as either of us could ever remember eating.
Do yourself a favor, make this one of your stops going thru Gloucester, easy to find, easy parking and what a meal!!

Olivia's is one of my favorite Gloucester resturants. Gary, the owner, works hard to treat his customers well and provide good food. I hear they now offer a fine dining experience in the back area and a new menu.

Staff was friendly and funny. Great place to take the old lady out on every now and agian. Soup was great food was just okay though. For the most part it was enjoyable.
