About:	The Village has been a neighborhood favorite for decades. Best-selling novelist and Richmond native, Tom Robbins, used to frequent the joint. The servers are notoriously rude, but that is part of the charm. Their behavior is not so offensive as to prevent guests from having a positive experience. One warning specify a glass or a pitcher for beverages or you will get a pitcher. This is a Village trademark. The food is quite tasty and a good selection of beer and mixed drinks is available. Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Walnuts and Baked Brie with Apples are favorites.
