| About: | Minarets and mosaics adorn this enchanting building. It seems to have leapt out of the Arabian Nights onto Richmond's Laurel Street. Marbled halls, columns and more elaborate mosaic work fill the interior and you almost suspect a genie might be waiting around the next corner. This theater, formerly called The Mosque because of its Middle Eastern look, was built in 1926 by the Shriners as their Acca Temple Shrine. The city purchased it in 1940 and restored it in 1994-95. Guided group tours are available by appointment. |

I laugh so hard: this is a very good play I laugh and cried because this all of his plays have very good points to them every one will feel the same way. They touch you even if you think that its not about you
The plays to see the finest plays and concerts.: My first experience was coming to see Madea's Class Reunion. I had a wonderful time. Then again when I go to see anything of Tyler's Perry's, I have the greatest time. I literally laugh my heart out. I have seen various gospel concerts and other plays and I must say that coming to the Landmark Theater has been my hot spot for plays, concerts and other wonderful theatrical events.
Fabulous Theatre Experience: Landmark Theatre is a swell city theatre. Located in the heart of the capital city of Virginia. I have had the enormous pleasure of experiencing a Mel Brooks' comdedy as a back to school treat for my college aged teenagers,as well as the lovely Christmas favorite, the Nutcracker ballet.
Over the years it has given me a haven of enjoyment with its full capacity stage to catch all the drama and color of each event. It is equiped with a friendly staff who make the evening enjoyable with their knowledge of the venue and the southern hospitality associated with just plain good manners.
