I ve been shopping around for a vet in the area for a while and I had heard wonderful things about Locke Taylor. I booked an appointment for my pup but I m sorry to say I was a little underwhelmed. I don t know if it was the time of day that I went or if this office is always this chaotic but it took over 30 mins (past my appointment) just to be placed in an exam room. All the staff was very courteous and the Dr. was nice and asked questions but it still seemed a bit rushed to me. I had asked for a few additional services but my dog was so stressed out by the end of the visit with the doctor that I decided to wait for another time. My dog recieved a vaccination that requires a follow up in three weeks but when I went to check out they were so busy that they asked that I just call back and book the appointment. Not too impressed but I m willing to give this place another shot since I have heard such great things and I really want a good relationship with a vet in the area that knows my dog.

I have to say, this is the best vet office ever! I lost a cat several years ago. I took her to a place where they completely missed the dx on Emily. I came to Dr. Taylor's all upset over my cat of 15 years and Dr. Rice saw her. This vet knew me from no one, yet she was so gentle and sweet with Emily and took care of me too as i was incoherently crying! In fact, she called several times over the weekend (this happened on a friday) to see how we were. Unfortunately, we couldn't save my baby, but Dr. Rice was patient and let me take as long as I needed to say goodbye. This is an amazing office! Now I have a pair of kittens and they will be seen by no one else! It hurt me to have to lose a precious cat to find a good vet, but I know dx won't be missed with this group and that my kittens are in good hands! Thank ya'll sooo much!
Not sure if the other reviewers went to the same place I did...I would agree this place was great 15 years ago, but now? I was in there early August to have my beloved cat put down and the place was like a veterinary assembly line. One of the worst days of a pet owner's life is when their pet has to be put down, and the vet (wish I could remember her name) could not have been colder or more dispassionate; just get it done with and move on to the next one. She even proceeded to lecture me with a clearly rehearsed line after I simply asked if this was truly the only option! Then there was a problem with the bill and they didn't have my current address, and didn't give me a simple phone call (I know they have my correct phone #). The first I hear of the problem was from a collection agency, which of course is probably going to screw up my credit rating. But they don't care, they couldn't put out the minimal effort to call me, just want their money. Customer service doesn't exist at that place anymore, nor will I ever return!
As practice manager, I would like to discuss with you in person your experience with our practice. As you may realize if you have been a long time client, many of the faces you started with are still here. I realize that the final visit with a pet is a very difficult time for everyone, and it is our duty to relieve the pets suffering as well as comfort the owner. All of us here realize the special bond shared with pets. All of us empathize with your situation and try to comfort you the best we can. It is never easy or rehearsed.
As for the billing issue, we never require payment at the time of euthanasia, and always offer to bill our clients for this service. We send at least three statements through 90 days and two follow up letters after that. If any of these letters are returned we will make an attempt to call you. If you have questions about this, JoAnn, our billing specialist, can be reached most any day.
Finally, Dr. Taylor has always tried to satisfy all of his clients. This desire is ingrained in to all our staff and it has always been my goal to provide our clients with the best possible experience. If you are dissatisfied, I am as unhappy as you are and would like the opportunity to make it right.
